Education

We serve our communities by providing educational opportunities to children living in rural areas.

Our Academy of Modern Learning Schools with branches at Asmoli and Gunnaur are equipped with modern learning and sports facilities and encourage co-curricular activities to facilitate wholesome development.

We believe a key step towards furthering Women Empowerment requires proper education. Therefore, our schools provide special incentives to enroll girl students. We also offer scholarships to girl students who belong to economically challenged families.

Environment

Our environmental programs focus around water initiatives like rejuvenation of ponds, installation of hand pumps, and efficient plantation. In addition, we are in regular touch with farmers to aid them in implementing new farming techniques, deploying machinery, developing animal husbandry and minimizing the use of chemicals and fertilizers.

Women Empowerment

We organize programs and courses aimed towards facilitating greater independence and workforce participation among women. Our Academy of Learning Skills centres train women to be entrepreneurs like Electricians, Bee keepers, Medical Lab technicians, Beauticians and many more.

We have recently launched "Sampoorna Tailoring Training Program" at Mansurpur to train 120 women trainees in multiple batches of 20 each, in a year. The state-of-the-art tailoring training center is being run jointly with Nehru Yuva Kendra and Gram Swaraj Mission Ashram and is equipped with advanced tailoring kit and will pave the way for women to become more self-reliant and self-sustainable .

Sports

We actively promote sports amongst the children and youth of rural areas by providing them access to high quality sports infrastructure and equipment, coupled with sponsoring the budding talent emerging through our program, to enable them to participate in national and international events.

Our squash program is especially vibrant, which has produced numerous children who have represented India at the highest levels. This proficiency on the squash court has enabled several of our sponsored players to become financially independent by obtaining gainful employment, or in some cases, start their own coaching programs.

Encouraged by the success of our squash program, we have recently tied up with Dribble Academy Foundation to provide an avenue for children in rural India to participate in a relatively upcoming sport - basketball.

We hope that this will also provide alternate opportunities for children to grow up healthier, be more financially independent, and become cultural icons for their peers.

Social Initiatives

Health Initiatives

We promote preventive healthcare by organizing Free Mobile Health Camp Services through PHD Rural Development Foundation. We pay specific attention to healthcare needs of women, which is often underserved in rural areas.

During the depths of the nation’s fight against Covid-19, DBO provided oxygen cylinders and concentrators to CHCs and hospitals around our factories to meet the spurt in oxygen demand.

We installed an oxygen generation plant at CHC Meerganj, which provided dedicated oxygen to a 30-bed facility. In addition, we are regular promoters of vaccination drives and healthcare awareness camps in our communities.

Food Distribution

The recent epidemic has taken a toll on all of us. We as a community have incurred monetary setbacks. Moreover, many precious human lives were lost. The best way to overcome this irreparable loss caused by the pandemic is by sharing what we have with those who are in need. Post-Covid, we are trying to do our bit in the form of weekly distribution of essential food items in NCR and the areas near our manufacturing units. Our aim is to touch the lives of those who have been deprived of the necessities.
