Our Chairman, Mr. Vijay Kumar Goel was felicitated with Lifetime Achievement Award for his contribution towards sugar industry by U.P. Chief Minister Shri Yogi Adityanath ji. The event was organized by U.P. Sugar Mills Association (UPSMA) and was held in Lucknow on 17th February 2023, on the occasion of 120-year celebration of UP sugar industry.
With over 65 years of experience in the sugar industry, Vijay has spearheaded several technological innovations in the industry, increased sugarcane crushing capacity, power production and export being a few of his many contributions to Indian sugar industry. As a recognition for Vijay’s continuous efforts towards fuel economy focused on least amount of energy per ton of sugar produced, the “National Efficiency Award” for achieving the "Lowest Steam Consumption for the Season 1988-89" was conferred by the Government of India.
